Intervet WB first mobility after the pandemic Bosnia & Herzegovina VET students in Wroclaw, Poland

5th July 2021

With the improvement of the overall epidemiological situation, preparations have begun for the actual mobility of students and teachers of secondary vocational schools from Bosnia and Herzegovina within the Intervet Western Balkans project.

After last year's selection of students, Bosnia & Herzegovina high school students began their preparatory activities prior to their first mobility in the Polish city of Wroclaw. Preparations consisted of a 30-hour online English course organized by the IUS English Language School (ELS) and also departure training organized by a representative of Uniser, leader of the Intervet WB project.

11 students of mixed technical schools from Bosnia & Herzegovina cities of Bihac, Bosanska Krupa, Maglaj, Vogosca, Hadzici, Gracanica and Sarajevo, together with their group leader from IUS, the student Aida Kadric, traveled to Wroclaw on June 20, 2021, being the first Intervet WB group to leave for a mobility in the framework of this project.

The internship for these high school students has been postponed for more than a year due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. The students did not hide their excitement and for many of them, this will be their first internship ever and also the first time travelling to a EU member state. The internship in Wroclaw will last 4 weeks and is organized in cooperation with the Mode – Move and Develop Foundation, a project partner based in Poland. Bosnia & Herzegovina students will have the opportunity to learn a lot by doing work experiences in companies in Wroclaw.

It is worth reminding that partner of this valuable EU project for Bosnia and Herzegovina is the IUS Lifelong Learning Center of the International University of Sarajevo – IUS.

The project brought together 6 countries of the Western Balkans and 8 member states of the EU.

The project aims to internationalize secondary vocational education and improve employability in Albania, Montenegro, Macedonia, Kosovo, Serbia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Cheerful BH students sent greetings from Wroclaw, Poland.

The next public call for applications for an internship in Italy will be published this summer and the right to participate has students from all mixed high schools in Bosnia & Herzegovina, aged 17 years.

The next mobility call will be published on the official website of the Intervet WB project, IUS / IUS LIFE official page, business portal Akta.ba, Chamber of Economy FBH, and social networks.
